Rohingya in Malaysia hoping for the best from OIC meeting
The Star KUALA LUMPUR: Rohingya refugees in Malaysia are hoping that the outcome of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) emergency meeting Thursday will put an end to the oppression faced by them back in Myanmar. A small group of Rohingya activists were spotted outside the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here as the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers held an extraordinary session on the Rohingya situation. Human rights activist Ziaur Rahman, 23, said that no action had been taken even though violence against the Rohingya was well-known.
